What Could Vertigo With Painful Head And Neck Suggest?

A week ago i had vertigo issues for a few days. In the last few days my left ear has been hurting and feels like pressure in my ear. Additionally the back of my if my head & neck hurting on the same side as the ear I m having problems with. Other symptoms include occasional runny nose & cough. Been taking generic Zyrtec daily for the last 5 days. Thinking it s an ear infection.

Hi.

It could be a ear infection, but you shouldnt self-prescribe antibiotics. Zyrtec may not be helping as you may have abused it and may require other medications. The first thing of course is to visit an ENT specialist who can look into your ear canal and find the cause for your presentation. If all is found normal there, then an MRI or CT scan brain may be required.

Best wishes.
