What Could Water Blisters With Bleeding Suggest?

My husband witnessed a car accident where the air bag deployed. He assisted the victim in getting out of the car. Now he has what looks like water blisters on his hand and knuckles. We thought it was poison ivy but it is not itching.the blisters are busting open and bleeding, then clear liquid comes out. Could this be a burn?

Hello,

I'm really thankful to your husband for helping accident victim. It is one of his best attitude and best human nature to help someone in suffering.
After analyzing the query it appears to be a friction or a blister due to injury of the area. Do not pinch, pop or squeeze the area as it can get infected due to same.

I suggest you to apply an antibiotic cream such as mupirocin or fucidin on the affected area. It would be better if he gets a shot of tetanus toxoid.

Clean the area properly so that the chances of infection. If at all you feel that there is pain or discharge then you can meet and doctor for a course of antibiotic.
My best wishes for his early recovery.
