What Could Watery Blister On Penis Indicate?

Hello, I have what appears to be a water blister possibly on my penis, I ve never had one before I never heard of them before. I get regularly checked for STD s and everything is good. It s been on me now for a 8 days it grew a little bigger it doesn t hurt at all I want to pop it because it s embarrassing and I m avoiding intercourse due to it. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The event that an STD has been ruled out, the most likely cause for a bump over the skin or penis is a friction injury which causes the area of the skin to swell as edema fluid fills is and it forms a vesicle.

These usually contain only water and are not harmful to most people. These are either likely to reduce by themselves with time or burst. Care should be taken in case there is any red color over the bumps or if there is any blood.

Blood in the swelling may indicate a blood supply and this may lead to infection or loss of blood. In these cases, it would be best to see a doctor for an in-person consult to confirm the cause.

Blisters can be helped with wearing loose cotton clothing, showering and changing clothes often, and using a moisturiser cream to keep the skin smooth.
