What Could White Spots On Vagina Suggest?

hi i have some white spots on my vagina lips they are not all white but they are sore when i bathe and when i pass urine.went to my doctor and he said it may be a viral infection or a bacterial infection he gave me antibiotics for both i am quite worried.
