What Cuases Delayed Periods After Taking Iron Injections?

Hi doctor,I wanted to ask ... I had taken iron injection intravenous... and my period is delayed by more than 20 days is it normal ... I am not pregnant ...

Can iron injection delay the periods... but I am getting a lot white discharge ...

I don’t want to take a medicine to induce periods coz then it make my hormones even more disturbed Please guide

Hi, I think iron injections are not related to delayed periods. But anemia can lead to delayed periods. So, I think you can wait for the periods. If it is happening frequently, get a thyroid profile and prolactin level done and also a ultrasound to see the uterus and ovaries to find out the cause of this. Hope it helps.
