What Diet Should Be Followed While Suffering From Kidney Disease?

My 73 year old father who lives with me very recently started dialysis due to his end stage kidney disease. I know that I m supposed to cook salt free, but what else am I supposed to watch for. I am new to the needing to watch his potassium intake...some labels do not list this and I do not know if they contain it. He is currently on 12 meds including losartan, amlodipine, spironolactone, clonidine, furosemide, mag oxide, sevelamer (renvela), omega-3, calcitriol, pravastatin, finasteride, plus ondansteron if needed for nausea I want to be sure I give him the meds at the proper times and not cause him to be unnecessarily become sleepy or dizzy spells. He suffers from diabetes, very high blood pressure, and vertigo. How can I split the meds so they will not cause any more harm than good. I currently have him on losartan, calcitriol, renvela, Lasix, omega-3, and clonidine with breakfast. Then spironolactone, another renvela, another omega-3, and a finasteride provascr with lunch, then at dinner he takes the mag oxide, amlodipine, another omega 3, another renvela and another clonidine. He is also supposed to be on the levemir flex pen (18 units) and an bayer 81 mg aspirin.
