What Dietary Precautions Should Be Taken While On L Thyroxine?

I take L Thyroxine and so does my MIL - she told me the other night that you can t eat cereal with milk for 4 hours after taking the medication. I ve never been told that for the last 15 years and was wondering if I missed something? :) I do know that I can t have grapefruit (which I love) but that s ok.

L Thyroxine has got no relation to diet. You can continue your normal diet and no dietary modification is required.
