What Do HDL Level Of 37 And LDL Level Of 100.20 Mean?

Hi !



My name is Arun Oberoi and 36 years of age.



Recently, i have got medical tests done and found following observations:

Glucose (fasting) 113

Creatnine, Serum 0.78

Uric Acid 4.70

Calcium, Serum 8.60

Protin 7.0

Albumin 4.30

Globulin 2.70

A:G ratio 1.59

Lipid Profile:

Cholesterol 155, Triglycerides 89, HDL Chol 37, LDL Chol 100.20, VLDL Chol 17.8, Non HDL 118



Could you please advise the impact of low HDL and high LDL in my case. What all precautions / diet plan should i make. Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Most of your reports are normal.
2. HDL is bit reduced. Exercises can improve it.
3. LDL is within normal range. Above 150 would be worrisome.
4. Improve diet with good fat, moderate carbohydrates and protein. Also exercises with weight reduction will be helpful. Avoid alcohol and smoking.
