What Do TSH Level Being 12.95 And Extreme Fatigue After Right Thyroid Removal Suggest?
I recently had the right side of my thyroid removed and a large nodule. Did bloodwork for 6week follow up 3 days ago. I just checked my lab results and the tsh level is 12.95. I am extremely exhausted since my surgery and have a constant twitching in my right cheek. I go back to the dr on wednesday. Does it sold like I may have hypothyroidism now?
Hi! Welcome to HCM! I can understand your problem! The findings given in your question are highly suggestive of Hypothyroidism with hypoparathyroidism. Hypocalcemia secondary to accidental removal of parathyroid gland causing facial twitching. Fatigue may be due to hypopthyroidism the decreased thyroid hormones.
