What Do A Few Pus Cells And Epithelial Cells Found In A Urinalysis Report Suggest?

For my 1 year old kid, as per urine exam report pus cells are 2-4 hpf, epithelial cells are 1-2 hpf, rest all findings are negative. Does it mean any infection. (He had cold & fever so we got him checked urine) . Please tell me what is the normal range for both of these findings.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your kid's urine analysis report is absolutely normal. The Cold and fever might be from some viral infection. Usually, viral infections are self-limited.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
