What Do Black Spots On The Corners Of The Lips Indicate?
DEAR DR ANDREW, I HAVE GOT THE BLACK SPOTS IN BOTH SIDE OF MY LIPS CORNER, I APPLYED THE COCONUT OIL, OLIVE OIL AND NORMAL MOISTURISER CREAM BUT STILL THE BLACK SPOTS are there, please prescribe me the medicine to be removed the black spots on both side of my lips as i m as famale, thanks
Black spots are due to hyperpigmentation that is due to excessive melanin deposition.. Commonly seen due to excessive sun exposure, smoking or infections.. You should apply depigmentation creams like Kojic acid containing creams [eg. Kojivit, Kojicare etc]. Use a face scrub to scrub the dark areas to remove dead skin. You can apply Vitamin E containing gel and use facewash containing Salicylic acid.. You should use sunscreen lotion when you go out in place of regular moisturiser. Take Vitamin C supplements..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
