Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I thought it was thrush in mouth. tounge cleared up after prescription for a week with mystantin. well at least almost cleared up but 1. sides of tongue have black spots 2. two small pimply whoopes in center under tongue 3. one small black spot on lower lip
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain black spots on tongue can be due to natural pigmentation on tongue while it can also be due to causes like chemical exposure or toxin exposure, it can also be due to poor oral hygiene causing deposits over tongue known as black hairy tongue..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations if needed like Biopsy can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now you can start gargling with 1:1 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. Use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
