What Do Blisters Around A Wound On The Ankle Indicate?
My fiancé had a work accident about a year ago and he has a scar on his ankle from it. The wound that was there was never operated on or anything. It healed great. A few days ago he said there was a bump on his scar. A day later a blister forms over the scar. What causes this and is it anything to worry about? We put a bandage over it so that if it pops it won’t be open or exposed to anything. Good idea ??

I do not think it is much related to the wound of a year ago that was resolved properly. Maybe is a skin infection. keep it under observation. Wash it well and put a sterile gauze on it.
