What Do Brown Spots On The Leg Of An Infant Indicate?

I babysit 2 pre-mature children. They are now 5 months old and still considered young infants because of their size. The smaller one has developed these brown spots that resemble scabs on her legs. We thought at first it may have been accidental carpet burn. Tossing around, picking them up, putting them down, etc. but now we ve looked at it, and it isn t a big scab. It s like a series of mini scabs. Should we be concerned?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you should definitely get it checked by a pediatrician. The possibility of some skin infection by virus is more likely. So without any delay, take him to pediatrician for clinical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
