Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve been getting bruises all over my legs for weeks. Went to an Urgent Care about 2 weeks ago and they did a total blood count that came back normal. It is not from work, as far as I know, since I am the only one there that gets them. And I am not being abused either. What else could explain this?
You are having bruise over leg... Since two week...
You are having normal CBC means platelets count might be normal... Thrombocytopenia is leading cause for Rash... Injury like muscular strain also leads bruise.. So trauma history has to be ruled out...
Now here you might have not done coagulation study.. So coagulation factor deficiency should be screened by PT and aPTT. (ex of low coagulation factor deficiency is von will brand disease)
Meninococcemia like bacterial infection can lead bruise... Blood culture can be done for that...
If you have insect bite history than sometime it might be cause...
According to cause further treatment can be guided...
Advise : consult physician for examination with detail history further work up
Take care
