Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I keep getting small bruises on the inner side of my thigh, the groin area. Most of them tend to just be small and not painful but sometimes I get quite large ones that are tender to touch and sharp shooting pains sometimes from these larger ones. Any ideas why I keep getting these bruises?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. These bruises result from microscopic tears in blood vessels under the skin. They can be due to minor trauma,so there is nothing to worry about. Anyway I suggest you to do a complete blood count to exclude any bleeding disorder.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
