Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am in my early 20s and have been bruising very easily just noticing this throughout the past month or so. I currently have many bruises on my legs (with the largest being on my hip/outside thigh area, and on my lower/mid back on the left side. I went to the doctor to get bloodwork and he hasn t called me back so I assume that it was unremarkable. My prolactin was elevated about a month ago when I had prior bloodwork. (Definitely not pregnant). I am taking lamotragine 100 once daily, and nothing else. I also, in early June had a ruptured ovarian cyst, I have a follow up ultrasound booked within the next couple weeks, not sure if that is corrolated at all.
Bruises can be due to platelet deficiency.so check your plarelet count. In case it is associated with any palpable rashes, abdominal pain, joint pain it can be even henoch schonlein purpura ,an autoimmune disorder which is not so uncommin in young age. or it can be even due to the side effect of lamotirgine. there isnt anything to get panicked.
