What Do Bumps On Body When Suffering From Liver Problem Indicate?

i have had half my liver die and my bile duct reconstructed several times, Now they think i am having autoimmune problems. but my main concern are the skin problems i am developing they are different random and no one can even tell me what it is except maybe anxiety from the severe pain medication allergies or complications from combinations. Although i have stopped taking meds one at a time and all at once nothing has made a difference except for the medications we already know i have bad reactions to. So now I;m not only sick but covered in bumps which have left me scared and i am developing new skin problems that no one has seen. I have been told well they went away in a few days and they did not scar so oh well and i thought the same thing until a week later they came back this time lasting longer itching and went from red to brown. I have looked and looked as well as asking and getting second opinions??? They are the size of silver dollars, normal skin in the middle of the red quarter inch circles and normal skin on the outside no rash or pain until the second time when like i said it lasted longer and itched any ideas

Hello,

Bumps on your body might be due to papular eruptive xanthoma, allergic contact dermatitis, herpes simplex infection, eczema, bullous pemphigoid, dishydrotic eczema, pemphigoid, or shingles.

You need to consult a dermatologist for a detailed clinical examination in person and to initiate appropriate treatment. Liver disease can cause various other skin manifestations like reticular skin rash, papular eruptive xanthoma, xanthalesma, spider angiomas, palmar erythema, pigmentary changes etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
