What Do Dry Bumps On The Scalp Indicate?

My sacalp feels like it is bruised and it comes and goes. I also have a few dry bumps on top of scalp that will not go away. I had a biopsy 5 years ago that showed pre cancer. I have had the bruising feeling on top of scalf for a longer period of time. It hurts like it is badly bruised, just when I barely touch my hair. Do you have any idea what it may be?

Hi

The bumps on your scalp could be due to possible infection. Culture testing of hair follicle swab would confirm this.

As you have a personal history of precancer with biopsy 5 years ago, if I was your caring doctor would recommend to repeat the biopsy again.

Do not scratch the bumps.
