What Do Elevated Glucose And MPV Levels In Blood Indicate?

I have pituitary disease which has been confirmed every year for 7 years now. I currently take thyroid supplement and wellbutrin. I have been fatigued lately and my recent blood tests showed high glucose, high MPV. What might these indicate? I am 52 year old female in menopause about 25 lbs. Overweight that I cannot lose.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

High glucose level is commonly related to diabetes. I recommend to check the glucated hemoglobin for further evaluation. If the diagnosis is confirmed, you should take proper treatment by an endocrinologist and follow a strict diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
