Hi there I m 25 years old since June I ve been having high lipase levels 6 times now . But December 29th I went into the ER and got a false positive pregnancy test, they did an ultrasound said they found something but it could not have been a baby because there was no yolk.... I m very confused what can be causing all this to happen to me? My stomach is in terrible pain and nauseated all the time please help me!
You provided incomplete data. Elevated blood lipase levels may indicate the presence of a condition affecting the pancreas. Lipase is one of several enzymes produced primarily by the pancreas and transported through the pancreatic duct and into the first part of the small intestine (duodenum), where it helps break down dietary triglycerides (a form of fat) into fatty acids.
Elevated levels of lipase may be caused by acute or chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic duct obstruction, pancreatic cancer, and other pancreatic diseases as well as with gallbladder inflammation or kidney disease.
Based on the history given, you seem to be suffering from pancreatitis. You need to be examined by a surgeon immediately for further evaluation and certain lab tests to confirm a diagnosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
