What Do Fluctuations In Blood Sugar Levels Indicate?

My dad has high blood pressure and diabetes problem. He wants to know if if can use the Herbalife meal replacements to help him with the diabetes. The problems is that sometimes his sugar levels are very low and sometimes is high, but most of the times when he doesn t eat like he is supposed to his sugar levels go very low! Would Herbalife help him regulate his sugar levels?

Hello,

Using a meal replacement would not be a problem with someone with diabetes, but the important thing to watch is the carbohydrates in whatever he eats.

If he can change his diet to have a more consistent carbohydrate intake, that might help to keep his sugars more even and not so up and down.

If he continues to have low blood sugars (less than 70 mg/dL), then he should have his medications adjusted, as this can be dangerous.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
