What Do Frequent And Irregular Bleeding When On Micronor Indicate?
I am on my fourth packet of MicroNor when I went to renew my prescription I explained I d had irregular bleeding but I was on the last day of what felt like a normal period however 20 days later I m having another period I know these things can take time to settle that s why I took the first 3 months and suffered the irregular bleeding I m 14 pills into month four do I need to change or will my body eventually settle down to it?
Micronor contains Norethisterone, a natural female sex hormone called progesterone that is used in the prevention of unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourse. It may cause menstrual irregularities like prolonged or scanty bleeding, delayed or frequent periods, irregular uterine bleeding, spotting or breakthrough bleeding between periods, vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and many more. These side effects are mild and usually go away as the body adjusts to this medicine. But if these side effects persist for long or bother you then you should consult your doctor first for medical help.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Zubayer Alam, General And Family Physician
