What Do Frequent Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck Indicate?

I have fibromyalgia and so I am normally pretty fatigued, my medicine does have a side effect of causing easy bruising. But back in August 2014 I began feeling under my left rob upper abdomen that it fell full or felt like an organ was stuck on my rib (that s the best way I can describe the feeling) two days later I had a CT scan as the pain was sort of wrapping around towards my back. CT scan was ordered because they thought I had kidney stones. No kidney stones. No blood tests ordered etc. Now a year later I am still feeling it but it feels worse. I also have been having frequent swollen lymph nodes in my neck, underarms and breast area. Went in they said the lymph nodes look swollen but normal and aren t painful. I am extremely tired, I am bruising like crazy, sweating like crazy at night, this pain/awkward pressure full feeling in upper left abdomen and under my rib is making me eat less. I want to ask for a full blood count as I think my doctors are missing something. These are the same doctors that for a whole year never saw the diagnosis of fibromyalgia from the rheumatologist that was in my patient file. Meanwhile I had been going in for chest pain etc and all the time they always just say hmm can t find anything.

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that lymph node swelling can be pointing towards rheumatoid and tuberculosis. It’s recommended for you to consult a rheumatologist for proper physical and diagnostic evaluation and treatment

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
