Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern....
As per your complain and medical history of taking antibiotics for a period of ten days and presentation of the symptoms it seems that you have
ORAL THRUSH or
CANDIDIASIS which is a
fungal infection and is caused by fungus CANDIDA ALBICANS..
Due to intake of antibiotics the bacterial count in mouth is disturbed which is responsible for preventing supernumerary infections in mouth and it leads to overgrowth of fungus causing thrush..
You need not to worry as it is treatable condition and you need to consult an oral physician and get evaluated as in case of thrush clinical examination is very much diagnostic as there is formation of cheesy white layer over mucous membranes in mouth..
In case of thrush
Oral Antifungal medicines like
FLUCONAZOLE or
ITRACONAZOLE can be advised to you orally for two weeks..
Nystatin mouthwashes can help..
Antifungal lozenges should be taken..
Adding probiotics to diet like yoghurt can relieve..
You need to limit the intake of antibiotics so an evaluation of proper cause of the edema should be done so that you can get treated correctly..
Hope this information helps..
