What Do Homogenous Opacities On An X-ray Report Suggest?

what do you mean by homogenous opacities are noted in both lower lungs obiterating the left cardiac border; both diaghragm and coslophrenic sulci. Heart size could not be adequately assessed. Visualized ossecus structures are unremarkable. My nephew is 10yrs old. Thank you

Hello,

Homogeneous opacity means which have an equal amount of resistance to x-ray passage.

Pneumonia or pleural effusion or mass or cysts or solitary pulmonary nodules etc.

But in your case, it may be pleural effusion. So please consult your physician/paediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
