Hello,
In the current scenario, you should wait for 3-7 days after you miss a period and then go for the HPT with a fresh early morning sample of urine. To conceive, you should time your intercourse properly to happen at least on alternate days around the time of ovulation, lie down still for t least half-an-hour after the act and do not wash the parts with strong soap solution. You can also get a serum beta-hCG titre estimation to confirm/exclude conception. Hope this helps.
