General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, there is specific pathophysiology behind the itching after shower particularly that of hot shower pool.

* The release of histamine granules in the blood circulation via skin receptors are responsible for the show up of itching without rashes or bruises.

* The autoimmune disorders of many sorts do play vital role in this, the most common one is multiple sclerosis.

Kindly discuss the need of further work up in this regard with presence of specific antibodies in the blood as well as monoclonal IgM spike in the lab tests with your doc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
