Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been getting random itchy bumps that are exactly like a mosquito bite but they appear out of no where. and don t appear to be a rash in that it can be just one bite or several but not a bunch like I would envision in a rash. I did just get done working outside on my driveway and then my deck which involved crawling around in some bushes. There was more sun than usual but the bites appear in areas not affected by sun and there is no rash .....more like a single bite at a time but I have 20 to 30 of them in total. Some around my crotch but not on my genitals.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy bumps in the groin area which seems to be due to fungal infection and it could be due to heat produced by rubbing of clothes.
Need not to worry. Apply ice pack to reduce redness and itchiness. Apply mupirocin ointment on affected area twice daily. Maintain good personal hygiene. Use a powder to avoid sweat collection and apply calamine lotion at the sites of the lesion. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like clindamycin , oral antifungal or antibacterial depending upon the diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
