What Do Itchy Bumps On The Legs And Stomach Indicate?
Hi there. Over the past week I ve gotten random bumps on my legs and stomach, that I thought were flea bites or possibly bed bugs. After making sure our dog had a flea bath/treatment and completely cleaned our entire apartment/bed/surfaces, the bumps are still appearing and itchy. Some appear to have a little fluid but most are just red and itchy. The itchiness goes away after a day or so and I ve been using Benadryl cream, but they have continued to pop up randomly and I just got about 4 more on my low back. No diet change, no detergent change. I ve had shingles in the past and already had chicken pox as a kid. Any help would be wonderful to stop these bumps! Thank you!
Your explanation looks like allergic reaction only and as there is improvement on applying benadryl then it is more towards allergic reaction.
As it is recurring an allergy test should be done to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and accordingly allergen will also be ruled out if it is allergic.
For now take Fexofenadine [ Allegra] and along with it continue benadryl cream. Do cool compresses over the bumps. Avoid using harsh chemical cosmetics and soaps and detergents and use hypollergic ones. Drink plenty of water.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
