What Do Itchy Rashes On The Body Indicate?

I have a rash over most of my body. It itches all the time. One doctor said lichen plachen and prescribed antibiotics with no relief. My regular doctor has recommended an itch and anxiety medicine and creams such as cereva and shea butter and oatmeal. Nothing has helped. Any suggestions?.

Hello,

Itchy rash on body may be due to urticaria/ eczema/scabies/psoriasis. It would have been more helpful for me if you could provide me with details like duration of your problem, site of rash, and any other associated medical conditions.

Thorough local and systemic examination is required from a good dermatologist. Temporary relief can be obtained from tablet Cetrizine once a day for 3 to 5 days and applying steroid based lotion. However, it will be better first cause of rash gets diagnosed.
