Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have small red dots on my stomach and upper abodomin. My clothes seem to irritate and now getting a rash, not all over just where my clothes are. By the end of the work day I am very itchy. I ve tried Cortaid, Benadryl (oral and cream) and triple antibiotic. This started last week when I was away. Thought it would get better when I got home and could stay on top of. But it s getting worse.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
If the rash is on the cloth area it might be a reaction to the material called contact dermatitis. Because you have used an antihistamine and antibiotic and did not help you can try a steroid cream like betamethasone locally thin layer 1-2 times a day. If no improvement in 3-4 days or if any worsening you will need to see your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Kind regards, Antoneta Zotaj, MD
