Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an area of my skin that itches all the time..over the last 2 months it hasnt gotten worse but really not any better either. there has been a couple little red spots, but just to look at the area, it really doesn't have much of an ill look to it, maybe a just a bit dry...,some times a cool internal feeling, not sure if that is really the correct way to describe the feeling either. but also there is times if I lean on or lay on that area, it has a feeling like prickly or maybe a pain type of feeling, sensitive to pressure being on the area... does any of this make sense?,
Your symptoms are appearing to be probably due to allergic reaction causing itching and red spots.. Looks like Contact Dermatitis.. It can be due to causes like allergy to any skin cosmetic or soaps, detergants etc.. Any medication, food or materials like latex, leather can also be a cause.. So my suggestion is to consult an Emergency room and get a clinical examination done.. You can also be advised an Allergy test for ruling out the cause.. For now take anti allergics like benadryl and apply Calamine lotion.. You can also apply benadryl cream or caladryl .. Do cool compresses to reduce inflammation and redness..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
