What Do Itchy Spots Above The Ankles Indicate?

I have a group of 3, 1/4 to 1/2 inch itchy red spots appear about 4 inches above my ankle that were very light red and itchy yesterday but now are much darker but only sporadically itching now. The area of each spot feels firm to the touch and like there is an 1/16 inch thick area of firmness underneath each spot. I do not remember getting bit by anything and I see no bite marks. I was helping a friend move yesterday and may have been scratched by some of the furniture items and such in a few spots of my body, not sure if I did get scratch there, and no itchy spots anywhere else.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be an eczematous eruption. As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
