What Do Lip Sores And Blisters Coupled With Fever Every Three Months Indicate?

Hi, every year i get a full blood check up along with a gym, even tho I m not that active sexually. every 3 months i get these horrible lip sores and it always begins with red burning itchy lips and fever about 4 days before the blisters. they are so big that my entire side of the lip gets swollen, why does this keep happening if nothing is showing up on any labs?

Hi.
Thanks for the query..

Your symptoms of getting lip sores and blisters that occurs after fever seems to be most probably due to Viral infection..

It looks like fever blisters..

So it is advisable that next time when you get the sores, you should get a viral culture done at the same the as during an outbreak the viral counts is specifically high..

In case if viral infection is confirmed then antiviral medication like Acyclovir or Valacyclovir as well as topical ointment like Valtrex can be advised for relief..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
