What Do Lower Back Bruises During Pregnancy Suggest?

I am 32 weeks pregnant today and my boyfriend noticed that my lower back is covered in bruises. I ve been having back pain really bad for about a week now. I just wondered if it was normal that my back is bruised or should I go see my doctor.? What s the cause of the bruising?

Hello,

Your symptoms are not normal.One of the common causes can be gestational thrombocytopenia, which means a low platelet count caused simply by being pregnant. It should be confirmed through examination,so I recommend to consult your gynecologist.
