What Do Lump Near The Navel Area And Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?

I have a baseball size lump near my belly button and been vaginally bleeding for 2-3 weeks (even with taking the depo birth control shot)...Also, I am anemic. I started Depo to curb my vaginal bleeding. It did the first month, but month 3 the bleeding is back. Also, taking B12 shots due to low B12 absorption. I had hernia surgery about 7 years ago and use to get fluid drained....but moved to another state and haven t had it drained....Do you think it s umbilical hernia coming back or something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The lump near the belly button is related to the umbilical hernia. I suggest to do an abdominal ultrasound for further evaluation. Meanwhile,I suggest to start an iron supplement to treat the anemia.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
