What Do Lumps At The Base Of Skull With Fever And Chills Suggest?

I have two lumps come up at the base of my skull, I have had one before on the right side but they were not sore, both of these are tender, I have been running a fever of 102 but taking motrin to get it down, also I get to shivering at times.

Based on the symptoms of fever and chills, enlarged lymph nodes (lumps in the neck), it is likely that you have an infection.

Lymph nodes enlarge when an infection is present in the general area in which they are located.
It is possible that you have early symptoms of the cold/flu which can be associated with these symptoms.
