I m Rajesh Shaw , 21 years . Im a regular smoker. I smoke cigarette and weed. I had glossitis about 1 weeks ago. Now its almost gone. But Now I can see lumps inside my throat , most of them are whitish.I feel slight pain in my throat . Ears are popping up. 4 days ago I had a tumor like thing in my neck nearly my right ear.I felt pain when I pressed it with finger. Now its gone.Are all these is happening because of weed or cigarette? One thing more I tried nicotex to quit smoking in the last week. But cant continue it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Ask a Doctor services.
I have reviewed your query & can understand your concern.

Since you are having throat problems & have just got rid of glossitis;
I suggest you to stay away from addictions of any kind. Visit ER or an ENT Specialist & get examined physically. It looks like infection & enlargement of lymph nodes. You can take medications like Doxycylin or Cefixime, for pain you can take Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Use saline water or a medicated mouth wash & gargle three to four times a day. Lumps in throat should heal but those that do not heal can be indicative of throat cancer. Stay away from addictions, take nutritious healthy food and get evaluated. You will have to go through some tests & investigations to rule out any malignant disease. Do not delay, get treated.
