Hi,

A mucus in the vaginal area can be a sign of various things, including a vaginal infection or an increase in cervical mucus due to pregnancy. The bladder infection you had earlier may have caused some irritation or inflammation in the vaginal area, leading to an increase in mucus.

It's important to follow your doctor's instructions and take any prescribed medication for the bladder infection, as untreated infections can lead to complications during pregnancy. Your doctor may also want to monitor your urine and vaginal discharge to ensure that the infection has been fully treated.

Regarding the discrepancy in dates between your ultrasound and your doctor's estimation, it's not uncommon for there to be some variation in due dates based on different methods of measurement. However, if you are concerned, you may want to speak with your doctor about getting another ultrasound or seeking a second opinion.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
