What Do Multiple Fibroids, Two In Posterior Wall On Ultrasound Report Mean?

Hello Sir, My name is Mohsin Shoaib, My mother she is 51 year old she has Multiple Fibroids in Uterus, In her Ultra Sound she has cyst and the endometrium thickness was 8mm and now in 2016 ultra sound she has multiple fibroids two in posterior wall indenting the endometrium measure 2.8 x 3.3cm & 3.4 x 3.4cm few nabothian cyst see in the cervix largest measuring 1.2 x 0.5cm and endometrium thickness is 9.1mm, Also uterus is bulky in size 10.5 x 6.4 x 8.2cm & lower down in position. She has continues problem of vaginal bleeding. Please be kind to advice me, Should we go for surgery or should we wait till par age of 55 year so the uterus shrink in natural time and this issue solve. Please also advice me chances of CANER. Your early reply would be regared

Hi,

The multiple fibroids of uterus indicate underlying benign pathology of her womb and as there is heavy menses, there are all chances of her to develop anemia secondarily. She must get surgery of uterus removal, with age, these fibroids will not shrink as part of menopause. Though these do not turn into malignancy, I would suggest surgery at priority basis.
