What Do Muscle Spasms In The Upper Body Indicate?

I have Fluoroquinolone Associated Disability. I was repeatedly poisoned by Cipro before & after sinus surgery from 96- 14. I am totally disabled. Most of my systems have been affected and my Mitochondrial DNA has been compromised; however, I ve never had a seizure before, a CNS symptom. At 8pm, I was about to make a phone call, when I suddenly went limp. My head & upper body began spasming/jerking uncontrollably. I didn t loose consciousbess, but was not in control of my body. It probably lasted 30 seconds. I felt okay before & after it, but it was scary. Do you think it was a seizure or mini stroke? What else could it be?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A transient episode of 30 seconds with spinning, suggest sudden imbalance involving the vestibulocochlear apparatus from the fluid pressure changes in the inner ear.

As per my clinical experience, it is not consistent with stroke or other hazardous events.

Just maintain hydration with plenty of liquids and observe for next 2-3 days.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
