my mri result is partial acl tear with laxity of ligament associated with inferior patellar synovial plica hyper intensity probably secondary to acl tear myxoid degeneration of the posterior horn of the lateral meniscus noted may i need surgery

Yes, ACL tears can be painful. There can be limited joint movement, for which surgery is a good remedy.
