Hi, ultrasound 18 weeks showed a bend in one of the thigh bones on the baby. The length of the legs were also under average. Everything else seemed ok from what they could tell. They are sending me to do an mri. Should I be concered? Is this something that can easily be corrected ?
Ultrasound findings may indicate skeletal dysplasia. It is important to evaluate other bones and proper evaluation of fetus. You are rightly advised for fetal MRI.It is the investigation of choice in such cases. Treatment plan including termination etc may be considered after evaluation.
