Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, I was diagnosed as a chronic Hbv patient in 2012 when I was on a job medical and I am currently 28yrs. my LFT has been fine as reported in my last LFT test of September 1, 2016 and I dont take alcohol as advised. I had an ultrasound scan on the 31 of August and there were no fibrosis from the radiologist report. the live span was 13.8cm. my last viral load DNA test in 2015 november was 2832iu/L. With all these facts presented do I still need to be on any treatment? I am about to migrate to canada and would also like to know if I will be seen as excessive demand on their economy which has a threshold of 6450 CAD per head every year? Kindly advise BR Chimezie
What about HBeAg status. If negative HBeAg with less or equal to 2000/micro lit with normal liver enzymes with normal ultrasound may be not needed treatment. In case more copies with negative or positive HBeAg with elevated enzymes may be need treatment.
In your case point of view little more but what about HBeAg? Even single parameters elevation need treatment. please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
