What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Was involved in an auto accident in March. Did not go for treatment at the time, no symptoms of injury when my right side of my head hit the top of the passenger door, was a little dizzy but nothing stood out. About a month ago i started to feel a tingle sensation at the point of impact, but I thought nothing of it until lately. It is increasing in length and times per day. The tingle starts on the right side of my head and travels down to mid side and sometimes lower to my lumbar area where I have had problems before. My Doctor says a lot of tests; x-rays, CT scan MRI, etc. would be needed to find out anything. I an a 75 year old male in good health. What do you think I should ask of the insurance (not mine) or not worry about this unless other symptoms begin.

Hi,

Yes, your doctor is right. You need NCCT head, MRI lumbar spine and x-ray cervical spine. As symptoms have appeared quite late after head injury, there is very little suspicion of being linked to head injury.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
