General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Enterobacter cloacae is not a primary human pathogen but have been considered to be an important cause of nosocomial infections.

Enterobacter cloacae are part of the normal flora of the gastrointestinal tract of 40 to 80% of people and are widely distributed in the environment.

Enterobacter cloacae are able to cause various clinical pictures, including blood poisoning, as well as inflammation of the skin, tissues, respiratory tract, and organs.

However, infection of the urinary tract, eyes, and endocarditis are also possible. Please see your clinician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
