I read lymphocytes low is caused by Hiv. Am male 24 straight. I am feeling scared and I can t get off from the feeling.
The low lymphocytes cannot be always due to HIV. If you have any risk exposure history than you can rule out HIV by fourth generation ELISA testing after six weeks of exposure.
If no such exposure than low Lymphocytes could be temporary due to infection.

What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?
Hello, The low lymphocytes cannot be always due to HIV. If you have any risk exposure history than you can rule out HIV by fourth generation ELISA testing after six weeks of exposure. If no such exposure than low Lymphocytes could be temporary due to infection. Your hemoglobin raised due to smoking habit called secondary polycythemia. So you need to stop smoking gradually and phlebotomy advisable in such case. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
