What Do My Lab Test Results Indicate?

Hello, I have some questions about my reports. If anyone could help it s really appreciated Thanks in advance. my lympocytes is 15(normal is 20-45). WBC count is 8600( normal is 4000-11000). My hemoglobin is high.Usually I smoke cigarettes 10 pack a day. In chest x-ray I had patchy pneumonitis. My hemoglobin is high 19.2 gms (13.5-18). RBC count is little bit higher 5.52(4.5-5.5) MCH is higher than normal 34.7pg (27-32) Bilirubin total DSA(method) 2.99 mg/dl(0.1-1.0). Bilirubin direct DSA(method) 0.44 mg/dl. (0.0-0.3). I read lymphocytes low is caused by Hiv. Am male 24 straight. I am feeling scared and I can t get off from the feeling.

Hello,

The low lymphocytes cannot be always due to HIV. If you have any risk exposure history than you can rule out HIV by fourth generation ELISA testing after six weeks of exposure.

If no such exposure than low Lymphocytes could be temporary due to infection.

Your hemoglobin raised due to smoking habit called secondary polycythemia. So you need to stop smoking gradually and phlebotomy advisable in such case.
