What Do My Scan Results Indicate?

Hi I had a scan and it showed 10 in both ovaries on 14 day , next scan on 20 day showed only one follicle of 14mm size.does this mean my one follicle is ruptured . Can this not be confirmed in scan ? How should I go further .I f I conceived cud that be visible in the 20 day

Hello, thanks for writing in.
The 14 day scan showed two follicles of 10 (mm)in both ovaries.
Both or one of them may have grown in size, and probably ruptured.
However it is difficult to say for sure as no scan was done from day 15 to 19.

You can go for a follicular monitoring study starting day 8 of your next cycle. Kindly followup for the scan every alternate day or as directed by the sonologist, so you will know about the timing of rupture of the follicle and can plan intercourse around that time.
If you have conceived in this cycle itself, you must wait to see if you miss your period and do a pregnancy test in the week after that.
