What Do Numbness And Tingling Sensation Above The Eyes Indicate?

Not really painful, above eye area moving into scalp. Numbness and tingling sensation. Dr thought maybe shinglesand prescribed some sort of v eltrex family medication, because I cannot recall if my son had as child. Has lasted a week or so. He feels his eye and upper towards hairline are slopping and. Instant tingling sensation. He did have two very serious migraines for first time ever. Vision doesn t seem to be impaired at least noticeably. I think serious, he is in denial I think of fear?

It is in ost cases self limiting and not serious but in some cases this tingling is called called as paresthesia and is seen in conditions which involve the nerves. The common causes are pressure over the nerves after prolonged sitting or sleeping, deficiency of vital nutrients like calcium, sodium, deficiency of vitamin B 12. The other causes leading to generalized tingling sensation are uncontrolled diabetes. Since you are having this symptom on prolonged sitting or on sleeping pressure effect on the nerve needs to be ruled out. Since you are having repeated episodes you need to undergo evaluation to rule out common causes like pressure over nerves in neck, deficiency of essential nutrients. Hence, I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
